Arthur Walter Reis, age 86, of South Attleboro MA, died Saturday, November 23, at the Hope holistic hospice center in Providence.
Born in Pawtucket, son of the late Walter Reis and Mary Mecketsy and raised by grandparents Wadie and Margaret Mecketsy.
He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Cuban Crisis in 1962. Art was well known for his love of music. In his early years he was a DJ at many night clubs. Later in life he started a business, "Ultra Music and Games", he worked with many clubs and restaurants throughout the Pawtucket area.
In 1962, he was married to Linda Nancy Reis, they had two children Dawn and Michael. They were divorced a few years later and became good friends later in life. Art never married again.
He is survived by 3 children, Troy Claudio, Dawn Elnicki, and Heather Day. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren (Jared, Kelsey and James Cartwright, Marquis Davila and Troy Claudio Jr.), along with 6 great grandchildren, (Jared Jr., Justin, Giovanni, Ace, Samuel and Corey)
Art also leaves behind many cousins, friends and a brother.
He is joining his deceased son Arthur "Michael" Reis, who was born on "the same day Art died" in 1966.
